Wanna ask for advice!I am thinking of joining Penang Malakoff run (26km) on 7 Jun and following by KL Marathon (21km) on 28 Jun. My question, is it risky to do so to hv 2 Half M within a month? Actually I only have training on Sun. On weekday, I try to run only for shorter route, roughly 5km.
Are you ready for 26km? or at least 21km?If your current longest long run is only 10km, it might be too stressed for you to run a 26km in June, if you can do 15k-18k easily now, slow and steady 26km will help you in KL Half.If you think you are ready, next question is, are you targeting anything in Malakoff? if not and no need to push, then take it as fun run/training (not racing), why not?You have 3 weeks for recovery before KL Half. As long as you are injury free from Malakoff, it should be no problem. But normally Half marathon training does not require to train more than 21km, again, listen to your body. my 2 cents
Thanks!Actually I don't target anything for the Malakoff run.
